The Sandhill Cranes are back, and their chick is still with them! Last year we had so much fun watching the cranes in the field behind our house, when they left last fall we hoped that they would return. Yesterday morning I heard a pair calling in the distance, within 30 minutes the 3 cranes were in our back yard! By this morning they were back to pecking at our windows!

Brent, do you mind if I steal some of these pictures of the cranes to put on my blog? I just did my own post and mentioned the cranes are back. Your pictures are so much better since they are so close to your house. Let the noise begin!
