For the last few weeks we've been watching the Sandhill Cranes take turns sitting on their nest. We've seen two eggs, which I'll probably never be able to take a photo of because they are VERY protective of their nest. In this photo I was about 30 yards away and as you can see she was not happy to have me so close.

Don't we live in the coolest place ever? Love the pictures of the mountains. We saw 5 cranes early this morning. I thought there was just the pair.
Those pictures are gorgeous. You also must have a nice camera, but wow! Makes me want to drive up to Utah today to see the spring beauty there.
